I have an older home, built 1901, which was converted to from a single- family to a two-family. In addition to an uncomfortable amount of shoddy electrical work having been done before I bought the home, there was also active Knob and Tube wiring which was detected during a Mass Save energy assessment back in 2017. In order to have my home weatherized, this K&T wiring would need to be removed. I was very nervous and intimated by the entire process, and actually dragged my feet for a couple years before moving forward. When it came time to get it done, I knew I needed an honest, professional and experienced electrical company to tackle this big project. Kuhlman Electric Services came very highly recommended. Jenny from their office was extremely responsive to my calls and emails, and was able to arrange an estimate with quick turnaround. David arrived in a matter of days to provide an estimate. He was very thorough and helpful, and got pricing over to me very quickly. They understood that I was balancing a few different projects and were very understanding and accommodating. Finally, it was time to get the work done - a five-day project. Ervis and Liam arrived on time every day, were professional, friendly, and very thorough. Despite the amount of work they had to do each day to extract this old wiring from my interior walls, you'd never know it - because they cleaned up very well behind themselves, patched up the walls, vacuumed, etc. Kuhlman made the experience easy from start to finish, with a great team of hard-working dedicated folks that get the job done! o- I was skeptical as I had used the same electrician for 20 years - but my general contractor said they only worked with Jesse (Kuhlman) so...down the rabbit hole we went and there was a lot to contend with. This was a complicated project in an 1852 structure. There were tons of old wires that needed to be traced, blg intercom wires to be sorted, old wiring that need replacing, new wiring that was run - on and on. I could not be happier. First and foremost, I trust them- as electricians and as workmen in my unit when I was not there. They do great work. AND the electrical inspector trusts them and that is a compliment. They come when they say they will. The guys are honest, polite, neat, respectful and move through the job. They are not outside smoking and/or on their phones, they are working. They explain what they are doing, ask if they need input and worked with me to keep expenses down. I was trying to sort out cable and digital antennas and tvs and they helped me deal with all of it. I had to have a scaffold set up for painting and for a chandelier in a 18 ft high ceiling/space and they came when they needed to- to get the chandelier wired and hung. Nothing about this job was easy but they never got irritated. Anthony and Dom were my team and they always went above and beyond. Cannot say enough good things about them.

Gary was incredibly friendly, very skilled, and was a pleasure to work with. It's an old house with crazy electrical work, and our lights and fixtures are great now!

Alex and Thurston did a great job. They arrived early and finished quickly. My basement stairs are well lit and finally safe. Also, due to the age of my home they encountered a couple issues in the wall and handled it professionally without any issues. Thank you for a great experience.

Fantastic experience! Alex Ekstrom and Colin Martin came out and were quick and efficient in diagnosing a difficult problem. Kuhlman then scheduled a free follow-up that allowed for an easier (and much cheaper!) solution than the problem would otherwise warrant. Great people all around. There's a clear and fair pricing structure that leaves you with no ambiguity as to what you'll be paying, and they do an excellent job.

Had to replace old knob and tube wiring so this was a big job. The team that worked at my house were professional and very thorough. And they were very nice guys. Not only did the job go faster than anticipated, but they cleaned up and made minimal holes in the process. Their ‘rough patching’ made our job to completion very easy!

They were very respectful of my family and my house and made sure they left everything as clean as possible. Needed a Tesla wallcharger and several outlets outside and they did a really great job. They were very responsive and professional. I’m very impressed with their customer service and the work they did.

Gary and his team installed my EV charger and did a fantastic job. They were communicative (sent reminders, kept me updated on ETA), showed up exactly on time, and were polite and informative. My only complaint was that they couldn’t conduct the job sooner, but it was worth the wait. Very impressive by this team. Online invoices were sent immediately and payment was a breeze. Customer service is top notch.

Had the team install a 14-50 plug for a level 2 EV charger, which included running a new line from basement out to detached garage so I’d have a new 60A panel in there. Used that same run to then run a line back from an outlet in the garage to the home panel so I could power my home panel off my mobile generator using a transfer switch. Also ran a new line with an outlet into my fireplace so I can get a wood blower insert installed later. Guys were on time, worked quick but not rushed and cleaned up after they were done. Will use again for future work

We had all the knob and tube removed from our house and added several new outlets. We used Kuhlman Electric to do this work and we could not be happier! Cody, Cody (yes, there are two!) and Domenic did an outstanding job getting this work completed on time and were always pleasant and professional. Anthony Priego also did some extra work for us and he went above and beyond to help us understand our options and make sure that we were happy with our choices. Kuhlman electricians worked at our house for a five day week, replacing old knob and tube wiring. I was impressed with the professionalism of Anthony and Alex who were timely and very easy to work with. Holes in walls necessary for knob and tube remediation were repaired and wallpaper replaced. Work areas were left in a neat and cleaned way on a daily basis. Kuhlman and its staff have earned a high recommendation.

Anthony was on time for what was originally planned as a knob and tube - he was unaware the appt purpose was changed. However, he quickly and courteously adjusted to the surprise and made efficient use of the appointment time. He surveyed all my potential work, provided meaningful input and followed up within 24 hours with an estimate for future work. Thank you very much for the great service.

Kuhlman was definitely a good choice. They came out and spent the time to give an accurate estimate for the work requested. They sent a fair proposal in a timely manner, to which I accepted. Then, I needed to add a service change to the order, and again, received a fair proposal. They even asked me if I wanted to move the work up a week due to a cancellation. Mike and Roy showed up to to do the work over three days. They arrived on time or early every day. They always communicated along the way. The work was efficient, and looks really good, considering it was pouring one day, and very hot another. I've attached a couple photos of their work. I would not hesitate to use Kuhlman again!

Great experience with this team. They helped with grounding a wire in my mother-in-law's house, as well as spending hours at my house fixing miscellaneous issues and getting our shed powered again. The guys were friendly, professional, and efficient. I would absolutely hire them again.

Wonderful job! I'm so glad I decided to go with Kuhlman. Chance and his coworker came on time, very friendly and professional. I needed a Ring Spotlight camera installed. They went over everything with me before hand to make sure I'd be happy with the final results. Really nice pleasant guys. I would absolutely hire them again and recommend to friends and family. We had extensive knob & tube replacement work done as well as added upgrades like additional power outlets, recessed lights, movement of switches and lights. They dealt with our old house like the pros they are and we really enjoyed having them over. Anthony, Joe, and Alex were courteous during their time here and thoughtful when it came to any work scope changes. They made meaningful suggestions where it was needed--a great team! Our city inspector said they took their time and did a good job. I also worked with Jesse for estimates and he was also very helpful, provided timely, detailed, and accurate estimates. If I could give Kuhlman Electric more than 5 stars, I would. As first time home owners, they are the most professional contractor we've worked with. We had recessed lighting installed throughout our townhouse - making our dark house warm and bright. Cheers to Matt and Cody for their hard work, patience, and understanding. After being quoted $7200 from my GC's electrician to have my entire electrical main replaced due to water damage, I called Kuhlman Electric for a quote and they sent Anthony to evaluate the problem. He inspected the panel and said it didn't need to be replaced, and discovered the cause of prior water leaking and sealed it up. He also fixed 2 light switches. Anthony was professional and very nice, explained everything so I could understand the issues, and described everything he'd do and the cost before he started working. The grand total was $150. So nice to find a competent electrician that charges a very fair price. I'd recommend Kuhlman Electric based on my experience, and will call them for my future electrical needs.

The job performed at my home was the biggest project I had ever undertaken. Re wiring the entire house to remove nob and tub did not sound easy, however the crew, consisting of Ervis and Dom addressed my concerns and eliminated my fears. They did this with a professional approach not only to the job but also to me and my many questions. They calmed my fears and made me very comfortable. The job performance was superior in every way. The clean up was the best I have ever seen. I commend the hard work and dedication of these two electricians and state sincerely they are a credit to your firm. Finally, I got a call back but that wasn't even the best part! For whatever reason electricians seem to be the hardest service to get a response. I asked multiple friends for referrals and none returned calls. I went to Yelp and for Kuhlman Electric. They replied quickly online and provided a reasonable quote, followed by a call the next day to see if their electricians could stop by to help with a blown circuit. The guys were on time, very professional and efficient and to top it all off the invoice was less than they quoted! Oh, and they have a slick bill pay - I got an email after the service and just clicked through to e-Bill pay with a credit card. It was a great experience from start to finish.

Chris and his team installed exterior outlets for our patio, Rewired our kitchen after we learned everything was all on one breaker, grounded wires and came out after already putting in lots of overtime last week. Kuhlman was the 4th electrician I reached out to, and the first to get in touch/back in touch with me. I had a small job and was told they would be in touch when they finished a larger job early. They appeared in less than a week! Because I hadn’t expected them I hadn’t purchased the smoke/CO detectors I wanted installed, so Roy went and bought them for me. They replaced a ceiling lamp and a non-working outlet. They were quick, pleasant, and thorough. I will definitely use Kuhlman Electric the next time I have an electrical need!

In our two-family home we needed to update the two units' panels, meters, the whole works. It's not like we were dying to spend several thousand on a new system, since the old one (1970's?) was still working fine. But we were advised of safety issues and home resale problems. David showed up for an estimate at the appointed time and was very informative. We received an estimate from Kuhlman 20% lower than the others we had. On the appointed day, they showed up promptly at 7:30 in the morning and started right in. Ervis and Cody worked straight through the day in 95 degree heat! We had power back on for dinnertime. The quality of the work is excellent and they did it right on schedule - with no surprises. There's not much else you could ask for when it comes to hiring a contractor!

We had Kuhlman Electric come in to do a substantial rewiring job and also to modify some work done by a previous electrician. They have been fantastic. Totally professional, friendly and communicative, they itemized everything and really made sure that we knew exactly what they were doing for every part of the job. We are so happy with the work and would recommend to anyone! I would add that they were really good to deal with as people and went the extra mile to minimize any mess or damage - they cleaned up every day of the job and made sure to minimize the impact of having workers in the house.

Both Jesse and Gary were amazing professionals and so is the entire team at Kuhlman Electric from scheduling to billing. Jesse came over for estimate and Gary did the job.
