So- I was skeptical as I had used the same electrician for 20 years - but my general contractor said they only worked with Jesse (Kuhlman) so...down the rabbit hole we went and there was a lot to contend with. This was a complicated project in an 1852 structure. There were tons of old wires that needed to be traced, blg intercom wires to be sorted, old wiring that need replacing, new wiring that was run - on and on. I could not be happier. First and foremost, I trust them- as electricians and as workmen in my unit when I was not there. They do great work. AND the electrical inspector trusts them and that is a compliment. They come when they say they will. The guys are honest, polite, neat, respectful and move through the job. They are not outside smoking and/or on their phones, they are working. They explain what they are doing, ask if they need input and worked with me to keep expenses down. I was trying to sort out cable and digital antennas and tvs and they helped me deal with all of it. I had to have a scaffold set up for painting and for a chandelier in a 18 ft high ceiling/space and they came when they needed to- to get the chandelier wired and hung. Nothing about this job was easy but they never got irritated. Anthony and Dom were my team and they always went above and beyond. Cannot say enough good things about them.

I have an older home, built 1901, which was converted to from a single- family to a two-family. In addition to an uncomfortable amount of shoddy electrical work having been done before I bought the home, there was also active Knob and Tube wiring which was detected during a Mass Save energy assessment back in 2017. In order to have my home weatherized, this K&T wiring would need to be removed. I was very nervous and intimated by the entire process, and actually dragged my feet for a couple years before moving forward.

When it came time to get it done, I knew I needed an honest, professional and experienced electrical company to tackle this big project. Kuhlman Electric Services came very highly recommended. Jenny from their office was extremely responsive to my calls and emails, and was able to arrange an estimate with quick turnaround. David arrived in a matter of days to provide an estimate.  He was very thorough and helpful, and got pricing over to me very quickly. They understood that I was balancing a few different projects and were very understanding and accommodating.

Finally, it was time to get the work done - a five-day project. Ervis and Liam arrived on time every day, were professional, friendly, and very thorough. Despite the amount of work they had to do each day to extract this old wiring from my interior walls, you'd never know it - because they cleaned up very well behind themselves, patched up the walls, vacuumed, etc. With my 18 month old at home during this work, they were very conscientious of her safety at all times went to great measures to work around our occupied house (dog included). Each day that I returned home from work, Ervis walked me through what was completed for the day. It was obvious he took great pride in the work he had done, and also apparent each day that he had gone above and beyond what was expected.

All in all, I am so glad that I had this work done - and that's largely because of who i chose to do it! Let's face it, a project like this can be stressful and inconvenient, especially when we're talking multiple days of foot-traffic and disruption of your daily routine. But, Kuhlman made the experience easy from start to finish, with a great team of hard-working dedicated folks that get the job done! I definitely know who I am calling for my next electrical project. Had to replace old knob and tube wiring so this was a big job. The team that worked at my house were professional and very thorough. And they were very nice guys. Not only did the job go faster than anticipated, but they cleaned up and made minimal holes in the process. Their ‘rough patching’ made our job to completion very easy!
